Know all men by these presents, that we [blank] are held and firmly bound unto Joseph Cowperthwait, Esquire, High Sheriff of the City and County of Philadelphia, : in the just and full sum of [blank] pounds, lawful money of Pennsylvania, to be paid to the said Joseph Cowperthwait, his certain attorney, executors, administrators or assigns: to the which payment, well and truly to be made and done, we do bind ourselves, and each of us, our and each of our heirs, executors, and administrators, and every of them, firmly by these presents. Sealed with our seals. Dated this [blank] day of [blank] in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty-five. The condition of this obligation is such, that whereas in and by a certain writ of attachment issuing out of the County Court of Common Pleas, tested at Philadelphia, the [blank] day of [blank] last past, commanding the said sheriff that he should attach [blank] by all [blank] goods and chattels, lands and tenements, in whose hand or possession soever the same might be found in his bailiwick, &c. to answer the above bounden; ...
