Summary:The happy lives of Haengdang-dong residents are overturned when their land is slated for redevelopment. Because the government does not have enough funds to pay for the building of the new apartments, private developers step in to do so. As such, the prices of the new apartments are unregulated, and residents are mostly unable to afford the new homes. In addition, evictees are left without any temporary housing solutions. When the Haengdang-dong residents refuse to leave, gangsters are sent to their village to terrorize them, resulting in several injuries.
