Owen Wister

Owen Wister, author of the Western novel ''[[The Virginian (novel)|The Virginian]],'' and friend of 26th U.S. President [[Theodore Roosevelt]] Owen Wister (July 14, 1860 – July 21, 1938) was an American writer and historian, considered the "father" of western fiction.
